He is also on the faculty and Co-Director of Research at the BIDMC Disaster Medicine Fellowship. Dr. Hertelendy is an adjunct professor at Georgetown University in Executive Master's in Emergency and Disaster Management Program. Dr. Hertelendy is the author of over 70 published peer reviewed articles, numerous book chapters, and is the Guest Editor for the Journal of Emergency Management, Co-Editor in Chief for the International Journal of Emergency Services, Associate Editor for Disaster Medicine and Public Health and is on the editorial board for the Journal of Climate Change and Health

Bradford Newbury MPA, NRP is Captain/ Paramedic with over 36 years of experiences in firefighting and prehospital medicine. Brad also has an extensive background as an educator and as an innovative entrepreneur, where he serves as the President and CEO of National Medical Education & Training Center.
In 2010 Brad created a startup education company that has a global student base. His unique approach to prehospital emergency medical education offered the flexibility students with busy lives needed to be successful. Under his leadership the company grew rapidly and was acquired by a private equity group in 2014. His commitment to education and dedication to excellence in prehospital medicine led him to reacquire the organization in 2016. In the past 4 years Brad and his team have grown the company’s student base and is recognized as one of the premier prehospital training institutions in the United States.
He has presented in a multitude of national and international high-profile conferences, sharing his expertise in business, firefighting, as well as prehospital and disaster medicine.
Brad is a graduate of Harvard University’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s Division of Policy Translation and Leadership Development and the Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership’s- National Preparedness Leadership Initiative- Executive Education Program.
He obtained a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Anna Maria College (AMC) and a Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science from AMC as well.

Dr. Issa is the Co- Director of Education at BIDMC Disaster Medicine Fellowship. He is an Emergency Medicine consultant with 12-years’ experience in academic and clinical field.
He is a Jordanian board-certified emergency physician, a graduate of the European Master in Disaster Medicine in 2015, a graduate of BIDMC fellowship in Disaster Medicine in 2018 and Harvard Medical School research fellow in disaster medicine.
He has deployed several times in humanitarian missions to serve Syrian refugees in Jordan and in response to natural disasters including Dorian hurricane in Bahamas.

Dr. Ciottone is an emergency physician and the President of the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine. He is the Founding Director of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Fellowship in Disaster Medicine, as well as an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Harvard Medical School, and an Instructor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH). Dr. Ciottone is also the Director of Medical Preparedness for the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative, a joint program of the HSPH and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and has been serving as a consultant to the White House Medical Unit for over 10 years.
Dr. Ciottone’s clinical and field experience includes 25 years as a practicing emergency physician and over 500 missions as a flight physician on an aeromedical helicopter service. He has conducted educational programs in more than 30 countries around the world and has served as a disaster response fellowship director for the International Atomic Energy Agency. Dr. Ciottone has written over 150 scholarly works, including the first and second editions of his textbook Ciottone’s Disaster Medicine, and is the 2018 recipient of the American College of Emergency Physicians Disaster Medical Services Award, and the 2020 recipient of the American Academy of Disaster Medicine Distinguished Service Award.

Dr. Nemeth completed his training in the US and Europe. He has been working at the McGill University Health Centre since 2001. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at McGill. He is also the Fellowship Director of the Trauma Fellowship for Emergency Medicine physicians. He divides his clinical work as an emergency medicine physician and trauma team leader between the Montreal General and Montreal Children’s Hospitals. He has extensive experience in international level teaching and lecturing. His teaching skills have also been recognized at a University level winning the McGill University Dept of Emergency Medicine Teacher of the Year award three times. His academic interests include trauma, PEM, education and global health.

Colonel (ret) John T. Groves Jr is a native of Portage, Indiana. He received his commission as an Army Nurse Corps officer in 1987 after graduating from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1987 and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nurse Specialist from the from the University of Kentucky. He is also a graduate of the US Army’s Command and General Staff College and was selected to attend the Army War College Command.
Colonel Groves has held multiple positions of leadership throughout his career. He currently serves as the Director for Disaster Nursing at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and an adjunct faculty at the Harvard school of Emergency Medicine. His previous assignments include Chief Nursing Officer at Madigan Army Medical Center Deputy Commander for Nursing, US Army Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC), Fort Drum, and Assistant Deputy Commander of Nursing, Fort Riley, and Operations Officer, Fort Carson. In 2001, Colonel Groves was hand selected to implement the congressionally mandated Army Trauma Training Center program at the University of Miami as the Director of Trauma. He was also assigned as the Chief, Department of Nursing, Special Operations Medical Sergeants Course, Fort Sam Houston.
Colonel Groves deployed with the 10th Combat Support Hospital in 2006 during one of the worst years of our war on terrorism; his young team was highlighted in several national publications and a documentary produced by CNN. One of his signature contributions to the AMEDD’s effort to improve survival rates on the battlefield came as the author of the first-ever resuscitation record for pre-hospital treatment, which was implemented for use in both theaters of operation.
Colonel Groves’ awards include the Legion of Merit Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal. He is a member of the Military Order of Medical Merit and has earned the Army Parachutist Badge.
He and his wife Lita have three daughters, Maggie, Emma, and Isabel.

Prof dr Patrick Van de Voorde is clinical head emergency medicine at Ghent University Hospital. He is appointed associate professor in emergency medicine at Ghent University. Since 2013 he also functions as medical director of the Emergency Dispatch Centre 112 for Eastern- and Western-Flanders (Federal Department of Health).
He is vice-chair of the Belgian Society of Emergency Medicine and a board member of the paediatric section of the European Society of Emergency medicine, as well as the European representative to the general assembly of IFEM.
He chairs the international course committee for European Pediatric Life Support for the European Resuscitation Council [ERC] and is honoured as fellow of that ERC.
He has many publications in the field of emergency medicine and cardiac arrest and is first author of the 2021 ERC guidelines on paediatric resuscitation.

Tamorish Kole graduated from Calcutta Medical College, Kolkata (India) affiliated to Calcutta University in 2001. He joined his residency program in Emergency Medicine at Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad (India) and completed the Fellowship in Emergency Medicine affiliated to the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK in 2003. He has also obtained the Membership of the College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in Accident & Emergency Medicine in 2006 and, Fellowship of the Royal Society of Medicine (London) in 2008.
Currently, Tamorish is the Group Service Line Manager for Emergency Medicine for Apollo Hospitals in India. In this role his primary responsibilities are to provide professional leadership & strategic direction as well as promote global standards of Emergency Medicine.

Ahad Al Saud is an Emergency Ultrasound Assistant Professor at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Al Saud earned her MBBS degree at King Saud University in Riyadh in 2008 where she fell in love with emergency medicine. She has dedicated over seven years to training and teaching medical students and residents around the world, presenting and teaching in the USA, UK, Australia, Italy, France, Colombia, Turkey, the UAE and KSA. She serves as the Editor in Chief of the ultrasound/radiology section of the Saudi Journal of Emergency Medicine and the head of Emergency Medicine Females in the Saudi Society of Emergency Medicine. Outside the world of ultrasound, Dr. Al Saud serves as the chief medical director of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and the FiA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) Medical Director for Formula E, Formula 1 and WEC races. Dr. Obeid is the Chief Medical officer of Bahrain Motor Federation responsible for Bahrain Grand Prix Race ( F1 ) and all the FIA car racing since 2006. He is a member of the FIA medical Commission since 2008 . Dr Obeid was nominated to be the Chief medical officer (CMO) for India Grand Prix for 2011 2012 and was nominated to train and to be the Chief Medical Officer of Baku . Dr. Ammar practices both emergency medicine and sport medicine in the Sultanate of Oman. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine in 2005 and fellowship training in Sport Medicine in 2007 both at McGill University in Canada. He obtained his American Board of Emergency Medicine certification in 2007 and became a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians in 2012.
He is currently practicing as a senior consultant physician and director at the Emergency department in Khoula hospital, the national trauma and stroke center in Oman.
In addition to his active clinical work, he is involved in various administrative activities. He chairs the hospital Research Ethics committee and is a member of several other hospital and national committees.
Dr. Ammar is involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate education. He is a senior clinical lecturer affiliated with the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at Sultan Qaboos University. He is also a faculty trainer in the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) Emergency Medicine ACGME-I accredited training program and chairman of the OMSB Accreditation committee for postgraduate training programs. He also chairs the hospital’s Postgraduate Medical Education committee.
He is a frequent speaker at national and international meetings.

Obtained his Bsc. in Paramedic Practice from Jordan's University of Technology in 2012. Hamad worked under the BDF's Ambulance Department since 2008 as a Paramedic then Senior Paramedic. He founded the Ambulance and Patient Transfer Service Department in Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre (MKCC) and was appointed as Head of Department in 2020. As well as Head of Department Hamad’s also completing his MSc. in Healthcare Management from RCSI Bahrain. Hamad has been accredited by the AHA & ASHI as an Instructor & Training Facility, he teaches on ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, & PHTLS courses. He also initiated the program to train paramedics on the recognition of STEMI in Bahrain on a national scale. Hamad is a prominent member of Bahrain society and has launched several community outreach programs in First Aid and Cardiovascular Wellness.

Born and raised up in the beautiful Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Haris Mohammad completed his higher secondary school here and then went to Pakistan to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.
After completion of his M.B., B.S. returned back and joined the emergency medicine residency program at Salmaniya Medical Complex in 2008. Along with the completion of Arab Board in Emergency Medicine (ArBEM), he also passed MRCEM (Membership of Royal College of Emergency Medicine).
Dr. Mohammad has a special interest in trauma and education. He is also an active member of the Bahrain Motor Federation and has been involved with the medical team of Bahrain since 2009.
Throughout Dr. Mohammad’s 13 years of working in the Emergency department starting from being a junior resident to current day Chief Resident, his enthusiasm and love for this field has never ended as everyday is like a new day to save lives and to make a difference in the lives of the people who approach us seeking for medical attention during their worst times.

He is a part time faculty in the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) since 2018. He is a board of accident and emergency department in Salmaniya Medical Complex.
He studied medicine in MS Ramaya Medical College, Bangalore University – India. He received MBBS Degree in 1995. He then got certified in the Arab Board Emergency Medicine in December 2010. Afterwards, in 2016 he received a fellowship in Emergency Medicine from King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Damam- Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He attended a course in master of disaster in medicine in Italy in 2006. He attended and participated in several workshops and conferences related to his emergency specialty since 2000. In addition, he was a deputy of chief medical officer for Bahrain Haj mission from 2005 – 2009. He was a member of Formula 1 team in Bahrain from 2004- 2009.
